It is an opinion on the computer keyboard (hereinafter, called ‘keyboard’) of a manual typewriter type QWERTY arrangement with 154-year-old history that citizens all across the world use in common now. The keyboard is one of PC input devices having the shape similar to the typewriter’s keys, and is mainly used for sending E-mails or inputting characters or numbers using Word Processor. The keyboard is one of the oldest PC input devices since the PC input method has been focused on text till now from an early age.
Even though lots of operating systems in the IT field have been changed rapidly by being innovative, the keyboard is fossilized in the past history with no innovation in the method to input the current computer system. People all over the world think there is no need to innovate since they get used to the keyboard. However, you can understand why it is necessary to innovate if you know the origin of the QWERTY keyboard.
Old-fashioned typewriters take the way that types arranged on the keyboard directly hit paper to print letters when a user pushes keys. However, a person who is fast in typing speed hits another key before a former key returns to its place, so it causes malfunction since types are intertwined. In order to prevent such a cause of malfunction, it is the best way to wait till the hit type returns to its place. That is, it is the most effective to slow down the typing speed.

The technology of converting phonemes displayed on a button into an electronic display in addition to a fixed printing type keyboard to input multiple language has been disclosed. However, the Qwerty character input method does not have double consonants, such as ㄲ, ㄸ, ㅃ, ㅆ, and ㅉ, and complex vowels, such as ㅒ, and ㅖ, on the existing keyboard. So, the Qwerty character input method has inconvenience in that the user has to press the shift key whenever inputting the double consonants and the complex vowels. Since a character input method using the QWERTY keyboard has no regularity in character arrangement, it is difficult to find a position of characters intuitively, and the QWERTY keyboard is structurally inefficient since lots of character buttons are arranged in a limited space. So, because the user frequently makes typing errors by pressing wrong characters adjacent to the character that the user wants to input, the QWERTY keyboard has inconvenience in that the user has to correct the typing errors.
In other character input methods, it takes a long time for the user to learn and use the input unit since rules to input consonants and vowels of Hangul are not consistent and are complicated, and it is inconvenient to repeatedly hit, press and hold down, push, and press and push the character button, or press a shift key or a function key to input one character. The typing speed is low and it is very inefficient.
